In support of the Dunes Leatherneck Detachment and Portage Township Schools, which serves Porter County families, the Kiwanis Club of Portage has partnered with Toys For Tots and will host the Santa’s Parade of Toys in Portage on December 7th. The parade begins at 4:30 pm.
The parade starts at Willowcreek and Central Avenue, traveling down to Founder’s Sqaure. The club will be collecting NEW UNWRAPPED toys along the parade route, and will ring in the season with a Christmas tree lighting at Founder’s Square after the parade. Guests can also take their picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, and chili supper.
Sponsorships are also available for local businesses and organizations who are interested in supporting the parade. Parade float participation is also available for interested parties.
