Portage High School seniors take on a game of Senior Assassin! Senior Assassin is a game of elimination. This year there are forty-eight teams competing against each other to be the last team standing. This is the biggest game of Senior Assassin Portage High School has seen before.
Each team is assigned another team listed on a bracket that was posted on the PHS Senior Assassin Instagram page. They are given three days to find and take out as many people on their target team as possible in order to move on to the next round.
In order for the kill to count, seniors must get a video or photo of it to send to the Instagram page. In order to move on to the next round teams must have the most people left to the other team. Contrary to the implication of the name and the use of the word kill to refer to eliminations, no harm occurs to students. To eliminate another student, they must be shot with a completely safe water gun following a set of rules and guidelines.
The basic rules are that the students are not allowed to eliminate during school hours, they cannot eliminate while the target is on the clock for work. No elimination during school practices or rehearsals, they must wait thirty minutes before or after their practice or rehearsal begins or ends to get the target out. Once the thirty minutes has passed it is fair game. The student parking lot after 2:45 is also fair game for elimination, and they may not go on the target’s property without consent from parents of the target. Goggles or pool floaties may be used to keep you safe during one attack per round.
All forty-eight teams will be following these rules and trying to eliminate their targets in order to be the last team standing. The final team will receive a prize that will be announced further into the game. Good luck to all of the teams competing, make sure to stay safe and have fun!
